Workaholic Malawi Vice President Dr. Saulos Chilima on Tuesday apologized to delegates at Malawi’s Country Private Sector Diagnostic Report launch for arriving at the venue five minutes earlier.
According to Dr. Chilima, the development forced some delegates and government officials to arrive at the venue after him.
“Iam sorry for arriving earlier,” apologized Dr. Chilima to delegates at Bingu International Conference Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe.
Commenting the launch, Dr. Chilima said time has come for Malawi to think deeply on how to make the private sector vibrant so that it boosts production and create the much-needed jobs.
World Bank Country Manager Hugh Riddle has described the report as an important tool with potential to help Malawi’s development.
Malawi’s Country Private Sector Diagnostic Report examines opportunities and constraints in four key sectors: energy, digital infrastructure and services, transport and logistics, and agribusiness.
